Our family is always looking for some good cheap wholesome activities to do together so when John-David saw an advertisement for The Buckeye Alpaca Show, we thought, "Why Not, hey it's free". I had been to the Llama Fest many years ago in Spanish Fork and had a grand time. The Alpaca Show wasn't quite the cultural event the Lama fest was but we still learned a lot. Our kids weren't too sure about the Alpacas and liked admiring them from afar rather than up close. They usually would scream when they discovered someone coming from the behind walking their Alpaca. John-David's highlight was seeing an Alpaca cool down his backside by sticking it right in front of a cooling fan. We'll spare you any pictures of that. My niece had sent us her friend "Flat Stanley" to take with us on all our adventures this week. He is in a few of the photos along with the Alpacas. You should check to see where and when the next Alpaca show is headed your way. It's a great family friendly activity.

Flat Stanley makes me laugh and laugh. Looks like a lot of family fun with the alpacas. Sure wish we could join you...But, flat Stanley had all the fun for us.
My kids had to send out Flat Stanley once. It was so fun to see what fun adventures he was able to go on with our family members. What a fun way to be connected with family and friends! You guys are so creative and adventurous to get out and about so much with your cute kids.
I am glad you had fun at the Alpaca show. You crack me up! And lucky flat stanley. I know a lot of people that have enjoyed taking pictures of flat stanley on their adventures. But, my guess is that this was the first Alpaca show for flat stanley, the world traveler.
